Im not usually a big fan of ViVi magazine, but sometimes they have some good casual looks which are a lot more suited to the tame Australian fashion. But still not really worth the $20 Japanese magazines cost over here.
Here are a few scans from the October 2011 issue.

Major lust - Samantha Thavasa bag
I first fell in love with this brand when i went to Japan around 2 years ago. They have super cute bags, especially their Disney/Hello Kitty collaborations.
The brand has heaps of sub brands now, Samantha Thavasa, Samantha vega, Violet Hanger and some others for their jewellery lines.
When I went to Japan they had this whole range of Mickey mouse bags, the ones with the detachable Mickey doll, which heaps of Tokyo girls had at the time, well either that or a Kitson bag. I really wanted to get one of the Mickey bags they were cute as, but at the time the hefty price tag seemed way to much for a holiday purchase.
I'm Kinda glad I didn't get the bag, the new range are twice as cute!
Under the Samantha Thavasa brand they have launched this new Disney line with Winnie the Pooh, who doesn't love that cute yellow bear and his friends, so why not have him on your bag?

Happie Nuts Mag Scans ~~PIC HEAVY~~
If you've read my about me section you will know that i read two Japanese magazines, Happie Nuts and Sweet.
This Month Happie Nuts had a make up tutorial insert which I though was really good. I always love seeing the steps to different looks and having a bit of a play around with it to get something to suit you.
One of my fave lipsticks was featured in the section as well, The MAC one. Super expensive in Australia, but they seriously make some of the best lipsticks.

Jurlique skin care
I have been reading a lot about the Jurlique brand and how its all natural skin care can be very good for sensitive skin.
Jurlique despite its French sounding name is actually made in South Australia from organic herbs and flower extracts. All their products have a light floral scent, which varies depending on what skin concern you wish to target, such as rose, lavender, citrus and chamomile.
I have been using Clinique's 3 step skin care system for a few years now and absolutely love it, the mild facial cleanser is soft enough on my sensitive skin but still strong enough to remove makeup in the shower. But after trying a few of Clinique's intensive moisture creams and a few things from their redness solutions range and finding that they really don't work at all!!! I decided to look to other brands for these more intensive moisture lotions/creams/gels.
After reading numerous reviews about different products i decided to take a look at their herbal recovery gel, a really good review can be found by Mabsy here:

OMG SASA now sells Candy Doll!!
oh geeze, I have been wanting to try some candy doll make up for ages now, but every website that sells it and ships to Australia, which is very few, seem to be very overpriced! I really don't want to pay $20 for a lip gloss.
Candy doll has just come out with a new range that I have seen Tsubasa promoting, but this isn't on Sasa.com yet, I've got my fingers crossed that they will get it in stock.
I just ordered something off sasa a few weeks ago now and a i don't really want to place an order so soon, i have to try and not spend all my money.
But so tempting!
Another brand that I would love to see sold online is DUP, they make the best natural everyday looking lashes, a bunch of nail art tools and some other cosmetics. But they seem to be next to impossible to get.
Anyone know where to get DUP lashes from?

Lorna Jane Haul
I was on my way to yoga after work yesterday when I suddenly realised..
My Thursday class is an early class, so i don't have much time to run into the shops and buy a top. I was full panicking.
I quickly ran into the nearby shopping centre to Lorna Jane which luckily happens to be on the ground floor, Just love their stuff, and low and behold 20% off.
I picked the best day to forget my yoga top!!!
I got 2 tops and 3 crop tops all from the Excel range, which from the label says:

' Technical performance fabrics are:
shrink and fade resistant
Moisture wicking
quick drying and breathable '
I already had 2 pairs of tights/leggings from that range and they are so good! because I do power yoga having clothes that are breathable and absorb moisture is so good, it helps to stop the sweat dripping off you onto the mat making it slippery. I would say that the price and the care instructions are a bit off putting with leggings usually being around $80, tops $60 and crops $50. They all say hand wash as well to help them last longer, but I am a bit naughty i just chuck them in the wash on a gentle cycle and they haven't been damaged... yet.

Tsubasa -Stripes gum youtube video
I thought I'd just share this with everyone, I absolutely love this video it's super cute!!! and the song just gets stuck in my head. There are also a heap of Fashion videos and the making of videos on the Stripes YouTube channel.
Speaking of getting stuck in my head the Fits commercial song is super catchy as well. Enjoy!

Yogi toes - to buy or not to buy?
I have been doing yoga for ages now and my yoga mat is getting very old and worn, it wasn't a very good quality one to start with. I have been looking at investing in a better quality higher grip mat. As I do Power yoga (Done in High temperatures to help bring out the toxins in your body) I need a matt with a lot of grip, otherwise towards the end of the class I just can't hold any of my poses.
I have noticed a few people at my yoga studio have a micro fibre towel that they practice with, Called Yogi Toes. I'm not sure if I should just get one of these or get a whole new mat, or maybe I just need to suck it up and get both.

Review: WINK UP Perfect Style Mascara and Matsuge Gatch-ly Mascara
Here are the reviews of the two mascaras I bought from www.sasa.com
I have never tried a fibre mascara before, so as these two were relatively cheap and I was placing an order anyway I decided to give them a go.
My eyelashes without mascara, you can kind of see that they have blondish tips |
Koji Linequeen review
Koji - LINEQUEEN Eyeliner (Real Black)
$12.70 from Sasa.com
This is my all time favourite eyeliner!!!
It is a liquid pen liner with a super fine tip which makes it easy to apply and achieve the wing looks.
The eyeliner comes out faintly at first, so good for everyday/office looks and you can apply a second coat if you want a really dramatic dark line.
The eyeliner is smudge proof and waterproof, it actually stays on all day and all night. Because it is a liquid liner the colour once dry doesn't migrate around your eye area like pencil liners ofetn do.
I actually went swimming with this eyeliner on once, and it didnt run all down my face! It did fade a little but it was still in the same place i applied it.
You would think that seeing as it stays on so well itd be such a pain to remove, but it comes off easily enough with a foaming facial cleanser or makeup remover, if using facial cleanser you might need to wash your eye area twice as there can sometimes be some residue left behind.

Sasa.com Haul
Recently i ordered a huge bunch of stuff from http://www.sasa.com/, which is a Hong Kong based company selling a wide range of beauty and health products.
I ordered a bunch of bath salts, two mascaras and my favourite eyeliner to replace my current one which is about to run out.
They offer two tiers of free shipping, $75USD for free standard shipping which takes 2-3 weeks or spend $150USD to get free express shipping which only takes about a week. With the range of products offered and the reasonable prices, its not hard at all to wrack up a shopping cart of $150. The products come packaged in brown cardboard boxes with packing peanuts and then wrapped in bubble wrap. It seems like a little too much packing for the size of what you order, but there is not chance anything will get damaged in transit!

Ruby Red shoes
As promised here is my review of www.wittner.com.au
Wittner had sent me an email recently informing me that i could receive $20 off ontop of my membership discount. Score!
I have 3 pairs of their shoes, which are excellent quality! one of which is 3 years old and still in perfect condition!
Recently scrolling the web for pics of my favourite model Tsubasa, i found this super cute shot of her with red shoes. It really made me think about buying red shoes.
Wittner have these leather snake skin looking flats, and of course like all wittner shoes they have leather inners as well so they are super comfy!!
The site is so easy to use and offers free shiping for orders over $99 in Australia. They do ship overseas for a fee. they also give you the option of refund or exchange which is always good.
The processing and shipping were so quick! it only took 2 days from order to doorstep.
I will post my Sasa haul and reviews this weekend, as it will be quite a big post!
