One lovely blog award

Thank you to Melissa from the budgetbeautybanshee.blogspot.com.au for this award:

The Rules
1. Thank the person that nominated you with a link back to their blog.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Name your nominated blogs.

7 Things about me:
  1. I am currently studying Japanese, Only at beginners level at the moment but i'm looking foward to the day when i can read an entire magazine :)
  2. I love house/electro music, i hate listening to slow or sad music, i feel music should always energise you and make you feel good.
  3. I am actually a very little person, or as my boyfriend says 'only half a person', i would only be about 157cm, which is pretty short for here.
  4. I am also a bit of a nerd, so yes i do enjoy the odd computer game here or there.
  5. I love to cook, i am actually quite a good cook when it comes to desserts
  6. Kind of contradictory to the point above but one of my hobbies is nutrition, so learning about how your body process foods and what nutrients will do what for your body.
  7. Last point :) My favourite Yoga pose is Crow. Probably because it took me sooooo long to be able to do crow and side crow that i actually enjoy being able to do the full pose now.

So now the blogs i nominate are:

Review - Golden Slim by Funaicare

I have a real weakness for slimming products, whenever i make large beauty purchases i always seem to get some product that promises to make you thin in next to no time.

The last get thin quick product i bought was Golden Slim brand Funaicare who specialise in health and weight loss products. Of course i was a little sceptical of this product and after i had purchased it i was all like why did i waste my money on yet another stupid slimming cream ?!?!?!?!!!

But i have to say i was pleasantly surprised by this product. it claims to deeply penetrate the skin to help break down fat stores (cellulite) so your body processes it as energy, resulting in an almost instant slimming and smoothing effect. The effect is meant to last for one whole day.

The gel is super light and the same kind of consistency of those dettol hand sanitisers. It is super fast absorbing and the effects can be seen in only a few minutes. You can feel the gel tightening your skin, and smoothing out your bumps.

The gel really only does last for around one day, and because of the gels alcohol rub like consistency I think it really just works on removing excess fluid from that area.

Still i really like this cream, its perfect for when you a night out in a super short dress or even if you just want to suck everything in a little bit if your going to the beach. And because its not very expensive (around $20 from sasa.com) its definitely worth a try.

Results:
before: middle thigh width 43.3cm
After middle thigh width 42cm -1.3cm

Pro:

  • instant slimming effect
  • absorbed very quickly, no sticky residue

Cons:

  • effect only lasts for up to one day

Review - Candy doll mineral powder 01

Sorry, I have been very slack with my reviews lately! i have been super busy planning a holiday, which is all organised now and fast approaching  I am super excited and as i haven't been on a holiday for years i am counting down the days.

so onto the review
Awhile ago i bought the Candy Doll mineral powder off sasa.com id always wanted to try out some of the candy doll make up but always found they were super expensive to buy online or that they couldn't be shipped to Aus.

I actually really like this product and have used almost every day since i got it.

The  powder is designed to cover pores and give you a flawless look, it is a light yellow based (although the candy doll website makes it look more pink based) powder which goes on almost translucent so it makes a really good finishing powder.

Unlike a lot of mineral powders, this one has super fine particles so it doesn't have to be buffed into the skin heaps to make it blend. I think this is what helps it give a nice airbrushed look as well.

Pros:

  • lightweight
  • Fragrance free
  • no skin irritation
  • very fine powder, quick and easy to apply
  • airbrushed finish
Cons:
  • included powder puff is hopeless
  • Could last longer, need to reapply after 4-6 hours

Rating: 4/5
