Benefit Cosmetics Online Haul

If you're like me and you don't live in America, Benefit cosmetics prices can be pretty steep!
I find it hard to resist there oh-so-cute! packaging

Finally catching up on some blog posts which my computer troubles have prevented me from doing the past few months.

A few months ago i discovered that benefitcosmetics.com ships internationally, so you can finally enjoy the super cute cosmetics without the outrageous international markup. The website also has a sale section which you wont find at the benefit counters here.

The shipping is free for international orders over $125, or you can sign up for email alerts for promos with lower free shipping or freebies.

My Benefit Haul - Christmas boxset Perk up and away containing;
Fullsize Posietint, Dandelion blush, Watts up highlighter and deluxe sample of the Pore Professional and the new mascara they're Real two of their cult products.
Coralista blush
High Brow glow

The Entire Haul cost just over what two Benefit blush cost in Australia (which are $54AUD each double the American price of $28). The best part is you can still try before you buy, as there is a benefit counter in most Myer stores now.

LookFantastic.com First purchase Haul

Last Week i made my first ever purchase on Lookfantastic.com, a British based beauty website. They sell high end to drug store brands from around the Europe and America.

So is it cheaper then buying in store?
Yes and no, some items like OPI are around the same price in AUS as they are on lookfantastic, some items like Kerastase are a little cheaper. And then there are the brands that are super hard to find anywhere (i.e. nails inc)

The real trick with this website is to sign up to their email notifications, as they frequently have 25% sales and with free world wide shipping, it ends up a lot cheaper then buying the goods here. The package took about 2-3 weeks to reach me here in AUS.

Lust Have It! - June Box

I was a little disappointed with the June Lust Have It Box, after such a great May box (read about it here). Mainly because it seemed a little light on product.

Hong Kong Beauty Haul

A few months back i went to Hong Kong for just under 2 weeks. I desperately needed the holiday as i hadn't been on one in over two years.

I am finally sharing with you all the Beauty items i bought:

I tried not to go overboard with buying things, luckily i had my boyfriend there, otherwise i would have come home with probably more then double the amount of beauty items.

Boxing day sales haul

Every year i go boxing day sale shopping, i love getting some of the one day only bargains.
This year i thought the sales were pretty lacking, most of them started before Christmas so they only had the odd stock left (the large sizes and strange colours). Plus i don't think i have ever seen Sydney so crowded! you could hardly move!

If i am here next year i think i will probably give it a miss. I didn't get very much this year, but i thought id share with you what i got, everything was 50% off except the Missha make up which was 20%.

What i bought in the city: Missha items had 20% off: primer, blush and nude lipstick. I absolutely love all three of these, i tested them out today, best primer ever! and a pair of suede nude Siren shoes, look fantastic with fake tan.

The shoes and Missha items again, plus what i got in Chatswood.
Super basic top, with cute frills from Kookai to wear to work.
Gold earrings from my absolute favourite store, Mouche.
And a Lush gift set which and their Daddy-o violet shampoo which is meant to be pretty good.

The little red bottles are some Christmas themed body wash from Bath and Body works which my Friend visiting from LA gave me, got these while boxing day shopping so i added them to the haul shot.

Reviews of the Missha and Lush items to come.

Jurlique skin care

I have been reading a lot about the Jurlique brand and how its all natural skin care can be very good for sensitive skin.

Jurlique despite its French sounding name is actually made in South Australia from organic herbs and flower extracts. All their products have a light floral scent, which varies depending on what skin concern you wish to target, such as rose, lavender, citrus and chamomile.

I have been using Clinique's 3 step skin care system for a few years now and absolutely love it, the mild facial cleanser is soft enough on my sensitive skin but still strong enough to remove makeup in the shower. But after trying a few of Clinique's intensive moisture creams and a few things from their redness solutions range and finding that they really don't work at all!!! I decided to look to other brands for these more intensive moisture lotions/creams/gels.

After reading numerous reviews about different products i decided to take a look at their herbal recovery gel, a really good review can be found by Mabsy here:
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=3817

the product description from the website:

The Benefits:
  • Helps revitalise and restore skin’s radiance.
  • Helps improve skin’s firmness and reduce visible signs of ageing.
  • Provides intense hydration and antioxidant protection.
The Ingredients:
  • Ginseng Root helps firm the skin, while Evening Primrose Oil that helps replenish skin’s lipid barrier, while boosting skin’s radiance.
  • Vitamins E, C and Ginkgo Biloba help to gently exfoliate, moisturise, restore and protect skin.
  • Marshmallow intensely hydrates, softens and soothes.

Lorna Jane Haul

I was on my way to yoga after work yesterday when I suddenly realised..
I forgot to pack a top!!!
My Thursday class is an early class, so i don't have much time to run into the shops and buy a top. I was full panicking.

I quickly ran into the nearby shopping centre to Lorna Jane which luckily happens to be on the ground floor, Just love their stuff, and low and behold 20% off.
I picked the best day to forget my yoga top!!!

I got 2 tops and 3 crop tops all from the Excel range, which from the label  says:

'   Technical performance fabrics are:
shrink and fade resistant

Moisture wicking
quick drying and breathable   '

I already had 2 pairs of tights/leggings from that range and they are so good! because I do power yoga having clothes that are breathable and absorb moisture is so good, it helps to stop the sweat dripping off you onto the mat making it slippery. I would say that the price and the care instructions are a bit off putting with leggings usually being around $80, tops $60 and crops $50. They all say hand wash as well to help them last longer, but I am a bit naughty i just chuck them in the wash on a gentle cycle and they haven't been damaged... yet.

Sasa.com Haul

Recently i ordered a huge bunch of stuff from http://www.sasa.com/, which is a Hong Kong based company selling a wide range of beauty and health products.
They offer two tiers of free shipping, $75USD for free standard shipping which takes 2-3 weeks or spend $150USD to get free express shipping which only takes about a week. With the range of products offered and the reasonable prices, its not hard at all to wrack up a shopping cart of $150. The products come packaged in brown cardboard boxes with packing peanuts and then wrapped in bubble wrap. It seems like a little too much packing for the size of what you order, but there is not chance anything will get damaged in transit!

I ordered a bunch of bath salts, two mascaras and my favourite eyeliner to replace my current one which is about to run out.

The many bath salts i ordered. Most of them are sweat baths. The Bison ones in the middle are my favourite, they really have nice smells, colours and a good sweat factor. I am very excited to try the step baths and the new Bison cooling baths as its almost summer here, i will post a review on some of these later, when i have used a few.

here are the two mascaras i got, both fiber ones and both have 5/5 on Sasa.
Left to right: Naris Up
WINK UP Perfect Style Mascara (Black), Sana
GAFIXX Matsuge Gatch-ly Mascara (Clear Black), Koji
LINEQUEEN Eyeliner (Real Black)
